EARLY COMBUSTION ENGINES

By the early 1900s, the Internal Combustion Engine was replacing the Steam Engine in most applications and industries thanks to their increased productivity, safety, and size.  Its use spread quickly, ranging from small engines commonly used in refrigerators to large engines used in industry to power countless types of equipment and machinery.  Our largest engine restoration to date was a Joseph Reid engine once used in the oil and gas exploration and production industry.  Many vintage engines from the early 1900s are still used commercially today.
