The U.S. agricultural equipment and machinery industry made major advances in the early 1900s, sharply increasing the productivity of the American Farm. Similarly, construction machinery and equipment advances dramatically increased construction productivity during this same period. While most of the large collection of this machinery and equipment at Shadow Ranch is no longer operable, its presence clearly tells the story of the significant advances made during this period.
